yes and no. make it so if after 5-10 min no replacement for tank or healer allwos you to switch. but i guess thats too much asked...
If I'm queued as a certain class, I don't want to feel/be forced into changing just to finish the bloody thing.
Realistically though, what would trolls do with this? You can already "troll" the party to greater extend by doing negligible dps (just pressing 1 button for example), not performing your role or running into AoE. You barely see anyone engaging in these practices so why would they suddenly be inclined to troll by switching jobs and impairing the party that way?
I think the potential problems are being overestimated, especially considering we already constantly have to rely on other players to be at least cooperative for progression in group content. Doesn't make sens imo that players would suddenly become less cooperative due to this feature.
And. What. If. You. Haven't. Leveled. Up. A. Tank. Or. Healer?
All this would do is force multiclassing and start fights at the beginning of the dungeon over who gets to be tank and healer. And you'd better be well versed on what classes are considered the best AoE in the game for all those pesky adds between the bosses and have it leveled and geared as well as your main. A main which you will be forced to change as the other guys sit indignant at the boss door as your main is either a) already taken by the other dps Or B) is considered, ahem, "not Meta" and will be asked to change to a different Job.
It's just faffing about when I just want my goddamn tomes, man. Keep that Toxicity out of Roulette and leave it in the PF where you found it. I'll take the minimal talking over that.
What's the difference between this behavior and simply kicking a player because their job isn't meta? No one would consider doing that. Really don't see Duty Finder care about "meta" or double jobs in normal content to extend they will kick a player or start arguing.
Only because you don't have stuff like your suggestion to force this on people. And players will force this on people.
By the way, this was a feature in the dungeons of 1.0. And they where worse for it. Everyone played Black Mage till boss then swiched to Monk then back to Black Mage. You HAD to have these classes leveled or you where not invited.
I'd rather this game not fall off the cliff that WoW is currently swan diving off of thank you very much.
IMO this is a horrible idea and the only place I can see this even closely working is with premade parties. Do we really need to have dev time spent on this minor inconvenience over anything else thou?
