Better Hairstyle choices/ Longer hairs/ No Exclusive hairs

No thanks. I want more short hairstyles. We don't have many in comparison to mid length and long styles.

eh we really do need long hair styles most of the ones on female characters are short honestly with a few Mid styles but honestly theres maybe 1 kinda long the othersare extremely short our flat out stupid like the afro and that weird stick outstyle like some 70s guy

I dunno about for guys- but well over half the female hairstyles don't even reach your shoulders, and most of the rest are at best mid length. Numerically, I don't think that statement that 'we don't have many in comparison' is incorrect, if anything it feels like they've gone overkill with short styles.

I imagine it's largely about clipping, which does make sense- the hairstyle you can see me wearing now is mid length yet still clips with anything that has a collar. So, they focus more on short lengths that will look fine in any armour, and a few mid lengths for variety with the unfortunate side effect of clipping with a lot.

As many compare to hairstyles that NPCs use, such as Yugiri- consider that they have custom outfits that can be designed to not clip with the hair, and the only real way to make long hair that doesn't clip is to push it out from the body (ie- pony tail, pig tails). The longest hairstyle I have available (and I haven't unlocked them all) only goes to my catgirl's breasts... I'm not even sure I'd consider that a long hairstyle, I certainly wouldn't IRL.

I think what Arngrim meant is actually short hairstyles, not another variation of bob cut, as in, longer or shorter hair just stop it with neck length styles, just stop. Period.
By average guy standards, neck/shoulder length is already considered medium length, even when it's still short by average girl standards.

(Of course, that isn't to say guys can't have long hair)

Depends on how one defines hair length. Personally I'd love extra-long hair like Ysayle or Gaia.

Exactly this. Short to me is ACTUAL short styles that men have. Like an undercut, or some fade styles. Things of that nature. What people seem to be considering short is like shoulder length. That's mid length. Long goes past the shoulders. I just want some decent, short, and more masculine but usable by everyone hairstyles.

Yeah. Males don't have a lot of actual western male hairstyles. They release a lot of emo cuts- which I suppose are popular in Japan, so it makes sense. However, I personally would want to see some viera styles first, before another collection of styles gets released to the exclusion of a single update for us.

I would love more long hairstyles. I’m not a huge fan of the short/mid length styles. I really don’t care about clipping. I just want hair that matches my character’s aesthetic.

Just copy paste it onto the model templates 4head

If that were true, the Cloud Strife hairstyle, as well as the Final Fantasy Type-0 hairstyles wouldn’t be in the game, at all. Sorry, but I don’t buy that excuse. I think the devs simply just do not like long hair for some reason.
