I understand what you are saying but say your alt is in an FC and the leader stops playing and you inherit the FC leadership position and therefore the FC house. Does that mean the rest of the FC then becomes homeless because that house will be demolished because you already own an FC with a house on your main? That's also why SE changed the FC "rule". It's not perfect but I think they were trying to choose between the "lesser of two evils".

that indeed would be nice, aswell as a lets say i buy a second FF14 account (i know ppl that did it ...) buy house and give "lead" or ownership to first account, should be restricted entirely, like 1 account own 1 private house + 1 FC house (if leader) max and that it ...


im also amazed that SE isnt "monitoring" these "owner", because with so much money entering, i bet you everything RMT is involved !

then said house should be given to first player not owning a house, because "if alt FC lead stop playing will i be homeless ?" you said it yourself its an alt, shouldnt have priority over main character ;)

You can allow them all to have personal houses that they can buy just prevent them from buying a freecompany house so lets say my fc is heartless and i buy a plot outside of fc it would show Meru (correct) and then the fc the one im saying only 1 per fc on would say Plot: size large: <<heartless>> So honestly yes or maybe they should add in a longer term to like 30 days for fc plots.

I'm not disagreeing, I'm just explaining why SE did what they did because it was messing up homeless FCs from getting a house because someone in their FC already was in an FC with a house (mind you they didn't even have to be the owner of either FC) and both of those characters could have been alts. I don't think SE's programming allows them to do all those kinds of checks or I would think they would have already done it.

Edit - I'll just say again that if SE would put in real viable instanced housing as an option (not just one room apartment) then I think the housing problem would go away.

Ok, so if it is done with multiple accounts (and with FC housing), then there is probably nothing that SE can (or should) do other than providing a solution for the supply of player housing. I think all characters from one account should be able to share house if they're in the same world, separate from guests.

At the very least, each service account can only have up to 8 characters per world, meaning they'll have to give SE more money to create another service account if they want more houses per world. They should probably add a rule that an FC has to be active with at least 4 or 5 active members from different Square Enix accounts in order to have and keep a house.

There's a couple on Mateus that did the same thing. And the person people are eluding to in this thread is from Gilgamesh.

Unfortunately, SE never considered people would try to own multiple houses, thus put almost no safeguards in to prevent. I've long thought they should move to making houses account bound. And no, people shouldn't be grandfathered in.

Sorry, I'm not sure I'm understanding you correctly. Forgive me if I'm not.

Right now you can buy one personal and one FC house on your character on a world. If you are the leader of a FC with a house you cannot buy anymore FC houses even on alts on that world. If you just belong to an FC with a house but don't own that FC, I believe you can still purchase an FC house if you are the leader of another FC. Regardless of that, people are getting around owning multiple FCs with houses by purchasing other FCs that already own houses then they just become leader of that FC and thus that house. I'm not saying it's right but I don't think SE has a way to do checks for that (or again I think they would be doing that). I don't think very many people do that honestly, but there are a couple of people who do and they do flaunt it. I would think SE COULD do something about those people, but not sure that they will.

Oh, if that's the case, I think they can and should check for that.

Is it possible they bought the houses before restrictions were in place, and manage to meet the criteria to never lose them?
