[ Suggestion ] GNB and SAM roles should be swapped

It wouldn't bother me if they switched, but personally if any tank switches with a melee dps I'd like it to be warrior cause war is a berzerker and already feels like a hard hitting melee dps.

Plus I wish they add the healing competent back to inner beast, man I miss that.

Kind of a late reply, but the idea near the beginning of giving each job DPS and something else is what I was thinking they should do. I'd add a third non DPS job (Support), but that way you're basically solidifying the current trend of everything is a DPS and just running with it instead of kind of having it.

Edit: As far as Samurai as a tank goes, while I would like that I don't see them doing it (beyond the obvious not reworking an entire job that way). They're kind of going with a very direct "tank stuff by being tougher than it" kind of approach to tanks, while Samurai is more dodge and counter kind of tanking thematically. It was one of the tanks of sorts in XII though so I could see it, still used robe-like outfits there too.

I would have been okay with a more armored samurai look, but robed dps samurai look is okay too. I'm fine with how it is.

XIV doesn't have to be just like XI. It already isn't in a ton of ways

Eh, I wouldn't say it's a specifically XI thing. Samurai in most games are heavy armored looking. FFV, FFT, FFX-2, FFE, likely other examples. Off the top of my head the only exceptions are in XII and TA2, and Ivalice in general likes to do weird stuff.
