Echo Drops still working in palace?

I was racking my brains to think when Amon ever cast a sleep or silence spell anyway... do you guys not bother killing the slimes? Why wouldn't you? They practically melt as soon as you look at them.

Had plenty of raids that don't bother with adds at all in that fight and more than once recently have wiped to there being no ice to hide behind.

That's no more. Try do that today, the potion is locked now. At least in my hotbar. Didn't tried to use a macro for it, 'tho.

It... shouldn't be? If the option is grayed out did you perhaps put them in your saddlebag or something? It still lets me try to use any potion even if they're useless.

You’re asking for a lot to ask people to kill the adds and not just burn the boss. The silences tend to go off quite often in a lot of the Syrcus runs in in because people ignore the slimes.

Put it down to cultural (or at least data-centre) differences then. We always kill the slimes and they die quickly. I've never seen sleep or silence spells go off in that battle - I only remembered it could happen from reading a guide.

We do get the occasional wipes when people smash the ice pillars, but that's a learning curve and a bit of luck regarding who gets to play the toad. It doesn't happen a second time in the same run.

I’d definitely agree on it being data center differences. I’ve always heard JP respects mechanics more, where as NA is super hung up on the “burn the boss” mentality. I can’t say I’ve seen Sleep happen in Amon, but the silence happens quite a bit.

I’ve only had one wipe recently to people burning the ice while a frog. It was more amusing than anything else though. But the ignoring slimes thing (and really, adds in most older 24-mans) is staggeringly common.

I bought some of these when I played some ptod for fun and keep them around. Amazing as a healer being able to cure your silence mid fight.
