I absolutely agree with you, and sometimes I wonder if it’s actually not a matter of “can’t” but “won’t”. Regardless, it seems like they unfortunately won’t be giving us a butt slider ever, and while that sucks, at least they are open to giving us items that give us the appearance of a bigger butt. Am I right? I mean, it’s better than nothing I suppose.

They could have upgraded it or changed it, it would solve so many problems if clothes adjust themselves to the body curvatures and movement like they do in modern engines.
It would not be only more efficient but decrease the work needed to create items and glamours in the long run, they could have saved a ton of money by simply changing the engine into newer one.

But welp we are stuck with what we have now.

If it were that easy, KH3 (FF15) wouldn't have been so delayed, and for so long, and that's a solo game that doesn't need to worry about so many race customizations.

This game has ALREADY moved from 1 game engine to another, to do it again is a pain and big learning curve. Its obvious by looking at how long SOLO type games got delayed due to the move, and learning curves for staff to work with another engine.

This game introduced Breast sliders with jiggle physics. - 2.0 Most of this discussion was talking about technical limitations in general that affect character customization. Yes, it also includes why the rears can't be treated like the "breast slider" since it's noticeable.

Character customization is a big thing which a lot of sites review on other games, so yeah excuse people for wanting to talk about visual things that might scare people like butts :P

If they can find a workaround to modify the appearance of a character's rear through equipment, they can find a workaround to modify a character's facial hair through equipment as well. Though that'd require them to throw male characters a bone once in a while that isn't just appeasing the tiny minority who want gender locks on equipment to be removed.

As much as I like the game, the subtle disdain and dismissal of male characters is becoming tiresome.

I guess whoever they have working on this extremely niche stuff, that few players want/care about, isn't the same as whoever would work on the graphics... but that still suggests an issue of misplaced priorities.

Don't really care. As Nedkel says, things don't have to be easy to carry them out. I'm sure they're perfectly competent at making their own excuses for things without needing the playerbase to do it for them.

Agreed. There is a desire on their part to do it. At some point they're going to have to upgrade it, and especially the textures, or just face the fact that other, better looking games - not necessarily just MMOs - will be better at capturing players' attention than some game with extremely dated graphics and limited capabilities to work around it. The market ultimately cares little for excuses.

I agree with you so much. I do think it’s unfair that they worked on mostly female butts with the NieR bottoms, but said no mention of male character’s facial hair being altered with equipment. I think the more threads like this are brought up, the more it’s likely to happen. Since sliders can’t be done (technically they can, they just find it too complicated) then equipment that alters your physical attributes should be the solution.

There are just so many glamour issues and problems that they have not touched on yet. Butts only being the beginning. I mean, we still don’t know why Viera and Hrothgar have racial Hempen designs that are from Roes and Hyur Midlanders. Or if that means Hempen designs will finally be racial unlocked.

Beyond stuff like the weird mustache, Santa beard, and dwarf helmets, I’m not sure how feasible that is. Except for lalafell, all player models for women are generally the same but with the proportions tweaked a bit. However faces are more unique and some of them have different shapes so that’s 4+ models of a head piece that give scruff that they’d have to make for each race.

Then that’s not including the fact that it wouldn’t be able to be colored unless the color was tied to the head-piece color. And that it would look real weird on au ra with scale beards.

I’m not against increased facial hair options at all, but it’s not going to happen with equipment changes and it’s not going to happen in character creator until they revamp the coding of the game.

But they can still make unique NPCs with unique parameters that the server still recognizes.
