I would be up for cutscenes instead of playing NPC's in story actually. Not because of difficulty though. They are just dragged out and super boring.
I found all of the roleplay quests really easy because all of the mechanics that are more complex then "Don't stand in the AoE" tend to spam you with "Use this skill to not die" prompts.
They mostly just take a really long time.
I like that they aren't padded.. unlike every fight with a certain Eulmore villain..
I love how every content patch where there happens to be any kind of solo duty tied to the MSQ, this thread pops up. Every. Single. Time.
You never cease to entertain GD.
I don't think I've ever died in a MSQ quest before, and I just... do them.
Well, besides the 1 time when I got up to make food in the middle of it and even then I came back mostly alive. I just find them annoying for different reasons. Namely the ones that drag on. With like. 3 Buttons to use.
I'm surprised you didn't take notice of your hot bar skills when the battle started. Also reading the text chat and noticing not being able to damage it with regular skills should of sparked a "I think I need to use Limit break here"
I didn't think this quest could be hard. Guess there's always room for surprises.
Short of someone else playing the game for you I'm not sure what you expect Square to do for you.
If reading flavor text is too hard because you're eyes wander everywhere BUT the text itself...
No amount of easy mode is going to save you.
Reading is hard.
