We don't have Hien's hairstyle, either, despite his outfit being added to the game.

Yeeeah... this is purely glam gear and you can't dye it.
Not spending money on it.
I've learned that honestly? I don't care if they are 'iconic character sets' anymore. I'm not really trying to 'cosplay as the npcs' at this point. I want pieces for creating glam sets, and not allowing me to dye them is going to be a deciding factor on if I open my wallet, my dear dear SE. No sale. I want more freedom in the Glamour Department in general, restrictions where you're also asking me to spend some outside cash is a hard 'nope'. :3
A bit disappointed too that we're only getting jump potions sale... It's really not worth it imo.
This is the second time in a row they released a female-locked outfit. And it admittedly hurts even more knowing that the cool Y'shtola outfit is probably going to be locked too. (Why couldn't that be BLM's AF gear instead of Shire set 2.0??)
I wish they would release more than just one thing per month. I've been waiting on some of the Korean items, and some emotes I remember seeing a while back.
"Oh, you play as a male character? Well, better luck next month."
Not many, for a variety of reasons:
- As you said, they refuse to release outfits used by antagonists. (Though that didn't stop them from adding Edda's outfit for female characters.)
- A lot more quality control, time and effort seems to go into outfits worn by female NPC's compared to those worn by male NPC's. Hien and Ramza are excellent examples of that when compared to Lyse and Alma.
- The gender lock is removed on certain female exclusive outfits, yet that does nothing to appease those of us who aren't interested in dressing up our male characters in dresses.
- Yoshi-P is on record saying he wants to see certain outfits himself to dress his character up in, such as Y'shtola's new outfit, but is fairly dismissive when outfits used by male characters are suggested.
I suppose they could add Raubahn's original outfit to the game. We already have Aymeric's outfit and Hien's outfit so the development team can't claim to be against adding outfits used by city state leaders.
Wrist bands to Alma outfit looks like same ones from loyal maid outfit. Since can't be dyed most likely not buying it. Out of all outfits only bought 2 that couldn't be dyed. A outfit not being able to be dyed a real turn off for me and almost guarantees 100% for me not to buy it.
I think a lot of it can be attributed to Japanese games lagging behind in regards to such things. Fortnite, Overwatch and pretty much any other Western game with unlockable/optional outfits have a much healthier balance when it comes to outfits for male characters and outfits for female characters. Whereas a lot of Japanese games skew things towards female outfits.
