For someone such as myself who has just started playing it would actually be rather fun to actually have more than zero people to play with.

So because you just started and want more ppl to play with somewhere in your head you think is ok for EVERYONE ELSE whose been playing for the past year to start over.

I can't say I'd be willing to start from scratch all over again. Couldn't really say if I'd certainly quit but the odds would be pretty high. A great deal of time has been put into so many characters for so many people. And for those who wanna say it wouldn't be such a bad thing tell you what: Delete your character, don't keep ANY items, gil, or stuff and make a brand new character. Make sure you don't accept gil, help, or handouts from anyone. After that, come back rethink the whole thing, okay?

Meh, if something like that happened, I'd just relevel. Not like I have all 50's or anything. The only thing that would bother me is losing the previous event items.

T'were it to happen, I would prefer they take the game down until 2.0 with whatever new systems, leveling curve, classes/jobs, etc.

And suspend subscription time or refund on subscription.

I would play again (i know this because I tried to come back to ffxi after my character was destroyed).
