a suggest for bard machinist and dancer

I still haven't recovered after learning that dancers won't be using rugs/blankets as weapons like they did in Final Fantasy Tactics.

Nothing can be "too silly" after 1.0 and ARR introduced gun-halberds, gun-fists, and gun-shields. Heavensward gave us magical astrolabes. And now we have the FFVIII gunblade. No barrel? No problem. Cartridges full of magic.

Machinist needs a missile launcher and grenades.

Can't remember that bad memory, but the only restriction Dnc has for weapons is it must have a hole/handle to put our fingers through other than that it really is free for all on what they can look like yet they have stuck with chakrams with the one bladed throwing star.

-Could have Hula hoops as joke weapons
-key chain
-umbrellas
-headphones
-vines
-flower chain
-bones
etc etc there are loads of possiblities for the weapons yet they barely done anything with atm but we'll see going forward they have only been out since 5.0 afterall.

All very stupid ideas I like what you're thinking, however the greater glaring issue and i'm suprised I haven't seen it mentioned... SEPARATE Dancer gear from BARD and Machinist, give dancer it's own gear with it's own aesthetic and theme, stop making us rely on the extremely limited glamour options to make horribly mismatched appearances semi bearable. And yes there is precedence, Dragoon/Lancer gets it's own thematically appropriate gear, Ninja/Rogue get's it's own sets, Dancer is one job in game that Needs it's own identity and appearance, Lazy developers!

No. We do not need another job with its own set of gear just because you don't like the look of ranged DPS gear. There are plenty of glam options to make something that looks good

And introduce the problem of gearing up melee jobs compared to the other roles?
Hell no. If anything, they should get rid of gear limitations like what they have with nin and drg.
It's hard enough to gear alt jobs with the weekly locks as it is.

Hmm If we are going to go with Off-hands I would just say for Bard the the second equip should be Arrows or a quiver. Add elemental damage,stat damage, stuff like that.

I am not familiar enough with Dancer or Machinist, but I think all dual wield type of DPS should be able to choose the second weapon. One chakram is ice the other is fire?

Ninja- 2 different daggers.

Red Mage- Blade is separate from the orb thing.

Maybe a book with a bookmark or a quill SMN/Scholar?

So dancers (who dance to music) need their own set, but bards (who play music) and machinists (who work with and create machines) are aesthetically similar enough to warrant being kept together?

What? Brd aesthetic had to completely change away from very brd-centric in ARR to accommodate machinists in HW (all the CT 24man ranged sets are pretty bard-y), so now dancers get to join the club too.
