OP is on a European data center.

I have never waited 5 hours before. Never. Today I did, and it was INFURIATING. Bring back 24-man!

Ya the new content has jack to do with this.
There is new glams for PVP too.

Real question is what happens when everyone caps out wolf marks in only a week or 2 (Really, just 1 day) and never ques PVP again?

https://i.imgur.com/UsBiBQq.png I know what you mean, this is the result of the STUPID 72 player only rule that is ruining FL for all the morning players. My record on this was over 300 minutes :). IE: Don't bother before 11am.

Interesting, how come after 11am I can queue generally from 3 - 8 minutes? Seems like plenty of people are doing it to me... just with the lower amount of players during the morning... you can't form a 72 person group for nothing. BTW: Prior to this, I could get a 24 person group within 10 - 20 minutes, even at 5am on any day of the week. Even on the slowest days it could take maybe 30 min at most and just so you know, not everyone can play at prime time. Basically, I get to play very little pvp and it is my favorite aspect of this game. I am posting with fury to get more people involved on this issue because I know it can't just be me that is angry about this change.

3 hours in queue now.

I mostly play around 3am to 6 am and with the current change I can only pvp on the weekends. Not sure how anyone can defend this change.

Its sad to say but there wont be any early matches anymore and i fear that as soon as everybody got their new glamours the queue wont open until evening hours. I really hope Squeenix reconsiders this change.

This has been my experience as well on US servers. Early morning and late night queues are taking over a hour if they ever get to pop. I used to get 24 player pops on off peak hours in about 15-30min.

Everything settled down a little i have queues under 5 mins so.
