Been playing pvp all this patch and i can safely say NIN does not need a nerf whatsoever since the class is already one of the weakest when you compare it to the other 3 melees. Due to battle high and battle fever on NIN in FL it can be pretty strong but not invincible if you and your team shut them down with cc and damage/LBs but for most players in pvp that is difficult so i can see why you think that it deserves a nerf.
Ninja needs to be nerf hammered, prove me wrong.

They balance for Feast not Frontlines and NIN is a lot less problematic there (SAM is much scarier comparatively).
They mostly feel good in FL because they have the best tools for avoiding death/escaping out of any of the melee along with largely lacking a ramp-up time, which makes them well-suited for picking off players then retreating before they can be overwhelmed.
That said, I'm not expecting any nerfs in 5.1. -

Burst damage is stronger due to no longer needing to apply Shadow Fang, being able to do two Bhavacakra in a row with 100 Ninki and ninjutsu having higher potency, while their sustained damage is higher thanks to Huton.
They have less burst mobility due to a higher cooldown on Shukuchi, but it helps ensure a safe getaway with its damage shield now, plus Bolt being baseline means they have to fall back on too. -

Its not NINJA thats the issue its that most long term players simply prefer using it.
Ive seen monk dancer and drg pull out 550-600k DPS in a FL match tons in 5.0
It has jack **** to do with ninja being OP

It maybe has a reason why. And a char that stomps everyone just because they are played well is not necessarily balanced, as it should not stomp the good players in front of them.
A noobstomper class is king in such pvp environment with so many people discovering, or just here for rewards (or roulette), or just bad and without ranking system to split players in different categories. It's not games like Super Smash Bros or LoL where one char can be seen as a noobstomber but is ok because it's mainly 1v1 (or sometimes 1v1 in LoL) and once a certain rank is reached, you don't see noobs anymore getting tricked.
When you can have a class that can easily survive to get the Battle fever and can start to even beat people as skilled as them, it may be seen as OP. Let's try to understand the author point of view and explain why it's ok to be the way they are.
Assassination move resets on kills and supports, which is ok in Feast but is hella strong in FL where people dies a lot. It's a spammable stun.
We could say Ninja has burst, invisibility, control abilities(the only one among the 4 melees dps), bonus of being melee, escape and even a shield.
I could beat any ninja with my monk, tbh, but thx I have 3 dashes to keep harassing them when they realize they actually are not that good after attacking me 1v1.
For now let's just see how it goes, we can still talk about it, but all classes have been changed, and a lot of people have Potions now and can spam their 3 stacks to get around 15k more HP, so if a class has nothing left after burst and that now someone can survive because of potions, it changes everything. -

He's absolutely right.... in frontlines anyway, not feast. When ever i feel like going god mode in pvp i go NIN. Apart from maybe dancer no squishy class can escape me as i can keep teleporting after them. I can stealth right in to the middle of a group and find any 12.5k job with a tiny bit of health taken off and kill them from stealth with LB, then fetter and teleport half the map away and nothing can stop me. I can nearly guarantee i will steal every single kill i'm involved with with assassinate and get fed crazy fast and snowball.
NIN can get in and do insane damage to squishy targets and get out with teleport, the shield shouldn't exist IMO, they have their mobility. It's a bit ridiculous really. NINS always have highest damage in Frontlines and it's still the same since last patch, maybe worse now.
