Ongoing concern with content selling in party finder

Not... really. I'd have to do some digging but someone on reddit who sells content explained the whole gist of it, how profitable it actually is and etc. Going off memory, they said they averaged five or so buyers in the first couple weeks but it peppers off fast; Ultimate especially. The amount of people both willing and capable of spending this kind of money are very few and far in between. If I had to estimate, maybe 1-2% of Ultimate clears were bought. It may even be less.

$1400 for an Ultimate clear?! Why? For what purpose?

to make themselves feel good. you didn't put in the work for it sure, but to some people it doesn't matter.

It is also important to mention that in the second post, you have people content selling within the game by using party finder. That would be classified as "in-game".

If only this sort of thing was dealt with as harshly as bad language is. Especially when there's much more scope for harm given the stakes and risk of fraud. There's many ways in which this sort of problem could be tackled effectively or at least mitigated.

Right now Chaos DC has 6 clear-sell postings up on the Duty Roulette PF, and one is even taking pre-orders for the new ultimate.
Imo this is really getting out of hand.

SE could decide that advertising the sales of loot and kills is an offence. Or decide that using PF for anything other than to make a party is an offence. And they could easily get their GM staff to get on top of it.

SE can do more. They're just not really bothered for some reason : /

Yes, but the problem is that they're not mentioning any real money being involved in PF. If I recall correctly, selling content for Gil is not against SE's policy and that's how they get away with their in-game advertisement.
