Just needs to time it better. I've hit confirm when the queue pops, run off to the bathroom and made it back just before the gate goes down and the game starts.

I mean, when you gotta go, you gotta go.. but, 8 minute queue? *cries in DPS*

WoW had an interesting glitch that let you pause dungeon queues. You could sign up for a proving ground run (Practice session with NPC's that used the queue mechanism, but was instant) When you did this, it saved your position in the regular queue, but wouldn't let it complete. You could use this to go AFK for a bit without penalty. I'm wondering if there's something similar here that hasn't been discovered yet.

I'd have vote dismissed you for afk after 30 seconds.
It's not some rando 123 dungeon where you can't lose and the only drama is the group taking a minute longer than fastest.
