Now im bit off topic. Crystarium is uneccessary big. Most part are flat and empty and died after expansions day. Eulmore may be best with npc accessibility(script, tomes, etc npc. But the town below is grabbing bit of of frames and not sure why they didnt split the entire map.. Also i hope for next expac they make similar accessibility and same mapping as Idyllshire.Quote:

Honestly unless they completely remake the game from the ground up I wouldn't expect alot of upgrades to textures if anything honestly. And I can see why they wouldn't do that, as a few of you guys may want them to do just that, how many people will wait a second time in this market for a revamped XIV? Do we honestly expect them to do another revamp like with 1.0 to 2.0? And that's not the PS4's fault as there's games on the PS4 that out pace XIV in every way. It might be a massive lost to do another wipe and rebuilt like they did the first time. I mean 2.0 was a massive chance they took the first time. This is to the replies saying textures need to be upgraded and why I think it's not as simple as a patch imo. I might be wrong but I think in order to do that they need to rebuild the game from the ground up and that I think is abit more massive then alot of people make it out to be. -

At this point I think it'd be more likely that, instead of pouring a ton of money into a new MMO, SE would just increase FFXIV's budget with a focus on upgrades to core systems, new features, and stuff like that. There's no need for them to make a new MMO while FFXIV is still doing great. They could just spend those resources modernizing FFXIV a bit.

However, I do think that it will be required eventually if they wish for FF XIV to stay relevant. Considering FF XIV is their cash cow they would, in my opinion, be foolish not to. If they are simply content to let FF XIV continue as is, then that's their call. I just think it's a poor one.Quote:

Now, they might need to update some models as well, but it's not really a big deal. I'm not saying the game needs to go all out and have 4K or 8K textures, I just don't want to be able to look at a texture and see the pixels.Quote:

It is still very far away.
Actually after the launch of FFXIV and how that turned out, they might just follow WoW's example and keep updating FFXIV. It really makes little sense to reset everything again. -
