not only with the lack of more egi glamours to SMN but SMN egis are in-fact a re-skin carbuncle, the glamour system is only there for us to be able to change them from egi to carbuncle and nothing else.
also your right about the fairy, they might as well be a glamour and leave one button. :(
on that note ,are you really sure you want SE to hear "make eos/selene get the egi glamour treatment" ? i mean its a pretty bad system if SE will do it ,it might turn to be even worse then having 2 button to summon. with SE treatment SCH might be like tataru, they summons lily only for her to run away XD .

I think you might be mistaken on 2 things. One, it's not that they don't want diverse summons on SMN and SCH, it's that in SCHs case they are summoning the same creature everytime, we were just summoning a different aspect of her power, and in a sense we still are. The 2 button glamour we currently have is just a reskin of the old Summon I and Summon II. Would a proper glamour system and different glamours be nice for SCH, yes, but because of the SCH lore and how they play, most are understanding in not getting any more options. Most are thrilled now that they can have Selene our and not feel weakened.

As for the Egi Glamour system. While not hearing anything can be annoying and upsetting. In recent interviews, when the conversation appeared to lean towards being asked, they intervened and stated that they are working on it but dont want to release any potential info until we are sure about the system. And I think it was mentioned a possible 5.X debut, but don't quote me. So we know something is in the works. If you think about it, making the skills into Egi-Assaults was a step in the right direction because it makes the moves more streamlined and easier to swap out.

Mate, I haven't met anyone who was thrilled about having Selene gutted, and I'm especially not. It'd have been one thing if Selene's moves stayed, and both fairies just had access to all of them, but the fact that every move she had is gone and she's nothing but a reskin is just the laziest, and honestly,dumbest thing I've heard in the name of "balance". SMN got to keep all their pets, even Titan who is clearly less viable than the other 2 in most situations, but they got to keep him, meanwhile we can't keep Selene?

ty for letting me know about the egi glamour system it cheered me a bit to know about that but i think you also kinda mistaken about 2 things.

1. even though eos and selene are parts of the same creature it doesn't mean they need to have the same powers and also as mention to you about selene ,to have an entire aspect of her power removed.
i am really not sure why you are thrilled about them being the same when in fact lily actually got weaker(cause she lost what selene had), also summoning a reskin of the same fairy isn't the same as summoning a different aspect of the creature since in summoning a different aspect means channeling a different power that this creature possess.
but even so and they change them like that in SHB and it was planned so why keep summon I and summon II when they could have settled to 1 button and glamour option.

2.understanding why things changed is fine but it isn't the same as agreeing to the changes that were done as others pointed out.
just cause the reason for change is understandable, doesn't mean how it was implemented was right to the player.
so you can be fine with that but there are those who don't, i am not sure about that claim that most are thrilled about what happened to selene since there are many posts about whats people found wrong with scholar in SHB with many pages ,feel free to check the thread "have we given up on scholar".
so claiming "most are thrilled " might not be accurate but again if you like the changes that's ok.

now about the glamour system,i found an interview that mention it, they just said that they will update us whats going on with it and the earliest update will be at 5.1 meaning it probably wont be debuted , and they will let us know about the egi-glamour system but when isn't exactly solid, it can be at 5.1 or maybe later at 5.2 and higher.

also about making the skills into egi-assault, it isn't an indication about the egi glamour system since they are 2 separate things.
also if you check with SMN posts, you will read how SMN have major issues with egi-assaults.
some the repeated things are: it being clucky, causes skills to ghost, have huge delay(for a dps class that every second counts a delay of 2-3 seconds is huge) to cast their skills up to the point that the pet has times it wont even cast them and lastly it contribute to the bloatness SMN have.
so saying its a step in the right direction might not be right to say, its more a step in a direction the only question that need to be answered is where will it lead.

I have a feeling I’ll get obliterated for this, but I’m kinda ambivalent about the fairy, I’d rather have something more in line with the cerebral aspect of SCH, like a small magitek drone. It would be nice to have a glamour option! :)

But, um, yeah, I have to disagree. I actually think the job has gotten a little too techy in its themes in Shadowbringers, with the new biolysis animation and such.

I like scholar to have a cerebral theme too, but I really prefer the ancient/arcane/book aspect over the modern/Garlean/Allagan/technological one, which I tend to associate more with machinist and gunbreaker.

The streamlining and Egi-assult implentation still has me confused on SE's part. So I'm afraid I don't see how it's a benefit to Scholar yet. If they introduced this to accomodate SMN's so they can quickly swap Egis and have charges on their own commands, they at least retained unique skills on Egi-assault 1, 2 and Enkindle for each respective Eg and then further swap out skills when you bring out Bahamut and Phoenix. (Also wonder why SMN's skills are so flexible with which Egi is out but we still have a button only for Consolation that's usable 2 times every two min, but tangent) If they were so hellbent on this system being so darn good that Scholar was getting in on it even if they wanted to or not, I'm still struggling to understand why Fey Wind and Caress couldn't be swapped out for Whispering Dawn and Fey Illum if we chose Selene instead. I don't play smn enough to comment on it, but I would wager a guess it was easier to make SMN's rotation with this in mind though not necessarily play. Scholar on the other hand benefitted from have a second hotbar and third type of gcd for multitasking, casting with one and ordering Lily with the other. Pet hotbar still exists and removing the pet GCD from it just seems like one step forward for streamlining and several steps backwards and off a cliff where Selene and rest of the old Arcanist skills lie in terms of playability.

I could see potential in say by learning that some Garleans have tried to mimick Scholars of Nym with magitek tablets and flying drones and if/when we ever visist the Empire they're our Job npc for that area. Or learning that Nym learned all it's arts from Allagans, that probably straight up enslaved fairies.
