After more testing, The issue ended up being my CPU overclock was a tad too high, once I lowered my processor overclock a tad, I have been running for a few hours in FFXIV without anymore dx11 crashes! All other games ran fine with my CPU overclock, but FFXIV was crashing with the dx11 error at random like crazy!
Hope this helps out others that may be having the same issue!

I tired under clocking my GPU no changes.
Spoke to soon > was up for a few hours and now Crashing again ...

here too
I played about 1 hour today, and suddenly after a Zone Port i had a direct x crash as well.
And since then i can“t get into the game anymore, because when i select my character and start, the zone loads and after few seconds the game crashes.
I have no overclocked cpu or graphics card, i disabled and uninstalled everything that might be overlay related (gforce experience, windows game mode relatet settings, steam overlay).
Drivers are up to date (and reinstalled).
Switching to DX9 is not possible anymore?
Playing the Game without Steam is not possible anymore either (i had no issues the last 2 months when i just directly started the game instead of using steam for it).
So for now, i can not play this game because of the restrictions that where implemented lately (that would have been useful as a workaround, until you fix the problem - especially the dx related issues are far older than 2 years...)

Things that I did that did NOT work:
Updating video card drivers on my GTX970M
Disabling anything that would / could apply an overlay (Discord/Nvidia software, etc)
Setting 3D Management to FFXIV>High-performance NVIDIA processor
Setting Run as Admin
Setting Window 7 Compatibility
Doing a Cleanboot
Updating Windows
Updated Google Chrome
Using MSI after Burning to Under Clock my GPU 10Mhz
Things that I did that Worked:
Using Intel Extreme Tuning Utility > All Controls > Under Clocking my CPU from 3.5Ghz to 3.2Ghz > for 24 hours 8(
I do not have heating issues or anything else.

Was able to play for a whole day without Crashing - TODAY Crashing again - this is a FFXIV issue. I've been playing MMO's since 1998 - In no way shape or form are this many people having the same problem and it not be game related. FIX YOUR GAME PLS.

Cleaned off Nvidia Drivers with DDU > Installed Version 431.36 - WHQL Release Date Tue Jul 09, 2019 > Been playing going good > On and offline at my choice over the last 24 hours.
Drivers from Nvidia Version 431.36 - WHQL Release Date Tue Jul 09, 2019 Seem to have done the trick > Its working fine now and I'm not going test anything higher because my problems started After July 23rd when the next set of drivers came out. I would suggest to SE FFXIV team to look at what Nvidia changed in their drivers on July 23 release that made FFXIV not compatible with the drivers past that point.
Kinda sorry that players have to find out fixes for problems and fix them before the Development team does.
9/3/2019 Crashing today again for no GD reason ..

Cousin had same issue back he had a DirectX11 card, then he just went and bought a card with directx 12 now the new card works fine no errors, on directx11 all other games would work fine with the old card but not FFXIV now the new card works fine no errors
The only way he could run it was by changing directX11 to Directx9
oh I would also like to say he was having issues recently after he downloaded 1903 windows 10 but he re-installed the OS because FFXIV was going a fritz like keyboard would lock up and or freezing screen but once he installed OS over again it was fixed.
Not if your pc screen has been locking up or not but just adding that detail.
if you have steam big picture mode not good for ffxiv
Also if event viewer has anything to do with ntdll.dll faulting module it could be operating system did you install new version of OS? is there freezing sometimes or lock ups then that might be problem.
