It works how I explained, because I LITERALLY DID IT yesterday. Just... try it... Try something first, and then complain after. Don't make complaining your first step of action. Because then you look silly when you make a big fuss over nothing.

To encourage people to buy said 60-say-cards? Thats what those deals are for: To encourage specific sales, not to reward the customer.

If you're already paying for a longterm subscription you dont need any further encouragment (at least not as far as a buisness is concerned - they already have your buisness). Someone who only pays for 30 days at a time to unsub afterwards for a certain amount of time (for example unsubbing til the next patch) might end up paying more to get this promotion. Or someone who doesnt usually use cards will now buy one instead of using their usual method (not sure what the benefit for SE is to promote the time cards, though - raising awareness that you dont need a credit card to pay for the game but can actually just pay for your game time at a supermarket with cash and even get a bonus for that?)
And, at the end of the day, as someone pointed out already: someone who already paid for several months of sub might end up paying again for additional time straight away (could, in theroy, look good on their quarters - in reality I'll admit that I doubt that a few extra time cards would matter)...

Bottomline though: Its not a "reward", its an incentive to promote sales. They're a buisness after all.

this is exactly my point I would buy the gamecard but then I have to deactivate my sub and reactivate it after. So why not just give 3m+ subs the same reward instead of making us jump through hoops to get it!

As others have explained: You dont have to deactivate your sub, you just add the 60 days from the timecard to your already existing playtime... unless you mean that you might have to deactive and reactive auto-renewal, which is all but one checkbox to click...

yes and how many times do u see insurance companies and tv companies giving out the same rewards to existing customers and not just their new customers??? its the norm for them to do that now and we shouldn't just accept that its fine for gaming genre not to follow suit but if people like you just accept it we will never get the same deals

What do you mean "not even out yet"?

Do you really want a Fantasia that bad that you not getting a free one with the subscription choice you made, and you refuse to pay to add 2 months to your current sub amount, makes you this upset?
