The macro would likely cause more clipping, how often you'll be using it.

Not sure what you are saying here about a 2.4s GCD. Ast's cast times are 1.5s leaving you about 1s to do the things that I said.

Sure a macro that is up against a GCD will cause some clipping but it will be much faster than trying to do it manually. Granted, this ONLY applies to using a controller. If you are using mouse and keyboard then this is a moot point.

When the expac came out I had a macro like this. It helps save one slot. But I don't have it anymore since I learned how clipping works and how macros can't be queued...
Then 5.01 came and now we have 1.5s cast times...

About targeting, I never thought this soft targeting would work. It's great. I have to get used to it though...

You have A. Benefic and Combust which are both instant, and Lightspeed.
You're only using a card every 30s, and you don't need to play them as soon as you draw them, so there's no reason why you have to cram all of that into a single 1.5s window between GCD's.

You can do you but I prefer to work smarter, not harder. I'm not clipping anything, I'm able to play my cards on the correct target in the 1s space between GCDs (not 1.5) and I'm able to save the periods that you mentioned for other oGCDs that may be needed.

Been using the macro/party sidebar system that @Heilstos shared and I am finding that using cards especially after using Sleeve Draw has become easier. I do still have some issues like having to time my clicks on the macro right when it can actually be used since macros can't be queued. I also need change how my party is sorted so dps are all groups together rather then being scattered. Overall still a shame I have to use a macro so make things easier on myself but the improvement is still appreciated.

I honestly hate those. I would feel like I can't actually play.
Currently I'm using a logitech G600. My entire hotbar is on it, set to the num pad, which leaves the 1-2-3-etc above QWERTY free for me to set as the party list, and so I did. From the first character (single quote) to the number 6 is my entire party list and it's just so easy that I really can't fathom how people can play clicking through the screen. I only use the left and right button on the mouse to rotate the camera and move from ordinary stuff (by clicking on both simutaniously, if i have to just take a step foward).
