When do the training wheels come off?

I dont think jumping down someones throat is a good idea.

Honestly though id be amazed that its level 44 and they are still a gladiator. If the healer knew he was new, then why hasnt the healer rectified it? (Saying they are in party together)

As for past experiences being a factor. I could agree that maybe they didnt have past experiences, buy considering level 44 is 6 levels away from 2.0 endgame... they should have some experience by then, they should have their job by then, they should know their required main stats by then (so no caster gear unless it was a nonspecific all stat gear).

This is bother the level 44 gladiator not asking questions, or even trying to learn the game, to any of his peers not helping him.

Honestly, id have seen a level 44 gladiator, and then id take the punishment for leaving the dungeon (unless he just didnt equip his job stone because he does it manually like i did at the start)

With Road to 70 buff you can get to 50 in a weekend as a brand new player these days. I know because I did it recently. While I already had extensive MMO experience, you have to remember that this game attracts people of ALL experience levels, especially with the current hype surrounding it.

Instead of judging a sprout from the perspective of someone who’s been playing MMOs for 20 years, I judge them by remembering how steep the initial MMO learning curve can be, especially for someone who’s also new to RPG games in general. There is no way for someone to learn everything you’re expecting them to know in the couple of days that they can reach the level that you’re encountering them at.

Shame on you. Be nice to our sprouts - they are the future of this game.

The game literally has a quest at the begining that won't let you proceed if you don't reach certain ilvl. Quests and dungeons give you gear that has tags indicating that it's suited for certain jobs. Upon reaching Garuda, you've done plenty of quests and dungeons already.

Did you try and help the sprout in any way like informing them of their soul stone related stuff, ways to get gear, or did you just come to complain instead?

This might be their first mmo, I can remember the first one I played and honestly I did a lot of dumb stuff in it. It takes time to get used to these kinds of games and 2.x content goes by so bloody fast now with the exp boosts, they could have only been playing for a few days for all you know.

I'm stuggling to understand why you would expect someone doing an MSQ quest and not even level 50 yet to play the game to your strict requirements. Really all I can suggest is to get over yourself.

Garuda is still low enough level that dungeons are dropping combined tank/drg gear that's a complete trap, as well as gear with randomized stats that may actually be a downgrade if it rolls poorly enough. Accessories are not limited by DoW/M at that level, let alone by role, and thus give no indication who they're intended for if you don't understand how stats work in this game.

Asking for a lvl 44 to have their job stone, or for a tank to not be wearing caster gear is "strict requirements" really?

Though honestly both of those should be fixed on the dev's end, not allowing brayflox+ without a job stone, and fixing the 'recommend' gear button to not suggest caster gear just cause it's higher vit.

No need for training wheels when you ride a recumbent trike.

I understand your point with mixed DRG/tank gear. Accesories are good at that level, but not gamebreaking. However, allow me to correct you on something: Garuda is more than 110+ MSQ in, you probably did 8 obligatory dungeons (Not counting the ones you unlock with your GC) and both Ifrit and Titan, though the later don't drop gear. Also, don't you receive a message when you reach level 30 that you can finally unlock your job? The randomnized stats of pink gear are secondary, the main stats (STR+VIT) remain the same in accordance to the gear's ilvl. This is not a concern for the new player: Better gear -> it has my job's tag on it = Should use that one.

I'm absolutely gobsmacked that people are actually defending the level 44 jobless tank wearing caster gear in group content (and getting liked for it!!!). Are we supposed to have the attitude that all new players are basically mentally challenged babies who have no ability to acquire information for themselves if we don't say things like 'you should use a job stone =UwU='? Like, it's fine if they're doing a messy rotation or whatever, but this is a multiplayer game and you're doing your teammates an absolute disservice if you don't even make an effort to understand the barest basics of the game.
