BLM and Summoner are Casters. this means Raid knowledge is of a higher requirement to optimise then any other role in the game. this isnt saying they're HARDER its saying the Knowledge required is higher.

Verraise and RDMs simplicity are both factors in why the job is essentially the "meme prog" job. The chain rezzes via verraise to get further in a fight to see mechanics is definitely the predominant of the two. It's been like that since the job was released.

What's fun about this post is that the majority of world first team has Summoners in their line ups.

I'm not saying Summoner is fine and has no problems, but it's definitely competitively viable.

Why would a job need utility when it makes up for it by dealing more damage than the other jobs. Some jobs make other jobs do more damage, and some jobs just do more damage. I wouldn’t call that selfish lol.

Summoner has higher RDPS and does only 400 dps less then BLM on current logs.

RDM offers a limited instant Rez’s which is super tight on its mana pool. With 1.2k less dps

Yet you believe RDM is the one on its feet haha

Plenty of groups doing E4S are using a summoner as their caster.

It's no longer super tight on their MP. Red Mage can easily raise 8 times or more in a fight and never run out of MP now.

IDK, I kinda think that the allure to BLM is that it does melt everything. Utility is not really needed IMO. It actually seems to synergize with every group, because while it may not add utility to the party, it also doesn’t rely on any other roles to work well in group content. It’s the classic glass cannon. Just don’t stand in AOEs and you’re good. If you’re lucky with procs, then having to move a bunch doesn’t mess you up too bad.

You do know verraise spam is not as Strong as it was in SB Right? :P

Theres a Reason why the RDM Parses are much lower then they were in SB, mainly because u dont need it as Much as u did, as Its Not as strong as it was.
