I wouldn't expect it to be back up immediately. It just doesn't make sense to announce "Oh, the servers are up in 3 hours, enjoy!" (Though it would be nice). I work for webapp company that has large data center involved, it at least takes a few day's planning for such undertaking considering all contingencies.
Basically if the service is ready to go up soon, taken into account of the weekend, SE would have decided it last Thursday the latest, there is no way they wouldn't announced it by now.
The best we can realistically hope for is it would be back online before the weekend.
Edit: There is one possibility though, is that they already set for server to go up on 22nd, barring critical development, when they extended the suspension. Though that would be surprising considering the uncertainty of the situation and personnel chaos.
