Apex Arrow?

Remove it. Change Soul Gauge for new song ability called Song of Oblivion which is like an upgraded version of Foe Requiem or something.

Also, the 3 songs mode should give some sort of buffs to allies upon activation lasting for like 10-15 seconds. It doesn't have to last all the way and it doesn't have to be crit%

Yeah i can confirm that the same Sound really is a problem lol.

I hate how they left us with Minne and Paean as support skills...
I mean battle Voice is fine but why dont we get the effect as well???
If they dont give us back more support at least buff the dps a bit so we dont loose so hard vs MCH.. because lets be real Minne and Paean arent that usefull..

Paean has the porblem that in most raids debuffs cant be dispelled which makes it useless.
Minne is maybe usefull for Adlo stacks but most of the time we are busy with our procs and other stuff and cant target other players for the 20% healing.

The only skill which really matters is Battle Voice and that shouldnt put MCH 1-2k dps above us.

Let's try to keep to facts. MCH is not 1-2k ahead of Bard. Any effort to look at numbers needs to go deep enough to weed out DNC partnership, which the statistics page fails to do. In general, the three ranged appear very close in good groups as far as we're currently able to tell.

Minne is a useful button as is. It does want for some targeting macros, but healers are reporting that it's pretty handy not just for Adlo but also things like Excog or recovering a Superbolide or just a non invuln tank buster.

Agree with OP that self BV would be worse, prefer buffing BV (or Apex or something else) if it is determined that buffs are needed. imo all three ranged need small buffs, so I feel okayish suggesting QoL things that happen to buff a bit. But self BV is the last thing they should do, let us use it when it's best for the party instead of having to deal with selfish options.

Agree with Cetonis. My goal with this thread is not to whine, or to daydream about what could happen to bard in future expacs. These are practical changes that should need minimal testing that SE could implement in the very next patch, based on a wealth of high level gameplay and theorycrafting.

An additional request based on some more research:

If the boss is moving as you use Apex Arrow, either because the tank is dragging it or it's jumping (e.g. Beatific Vision), Apex Arrow can miss entirely. Please fix this too (although I hear this has been happening to Dragoons since the start of the game, so I'm less optimistic about this one).

This has probably always been a thing, but I feel like my PPs are getting ghosted on the way out of WM more often now. Could be because I've been a bit greedier, but it would be nice for the skill to actually happen if its animation goes off.

Pitch Perfects -.-'' There's a tendency to see the animation and sound effect but for no actual damage to be dealt if the game decides your song expired in the interim.

I realized that about a minute after I left to go back to work :o

But yea I have noticed that also if you try and get off that last Pitch Perfect before the song expires it wont work.
