will have to agree with the OP. While not difficult. it reminded me of emptying the ocean with a teaspoon. Far too drawn out for the simplicity of it.
While I can agree with the amount of time it took to complete the duty being a tad lengthy, these complaints about having to "play a class I don't enjoy" are rather silly. Would it have made much of a difference if Thancred was your class of choice but still only had a handful of actions available?
I enjoy these roleplay quests for the story elements they provide, especially this one in particular because of the characters it involved. While the toolkit complexity could use a bit of tweaking, I hope they (and I'm pretty confident they will) stay.
i love playing as the scions! , but this battle was TOO LONG outside that enjoyed it
and yeah its fun to play as other job for a while Class quest let u play as Bard (physical ) or BLM (mage ) on 1 combat :D
I thought it was fun.
The worst one we ever did was honestly Hien's in 4.5. Because some madman thought a great idea of engaging gameplay would be the 1 out of a 1-2-3 combo and a dot, let alone have that go on for almost 8 minutes.
The great part of Hien's was that the second part was directly linked to it so after doing Hien's once, I didn't have enough DPS as AST to complete the second part and had to do it all over again. I like the concept of these but there's no reason for them to be so long, I felt like Y'shtola's was a good length of time but that was also a while back.
I thoroughly enjoyed this; it was intense and really amped up the story and the emotions I was feeling. Best fight of its kind in the game. I had to go take a breather afterwards because I was so wrung out. Beat it first time too which is probably a first for me! It totally worked with everything else ShB has given, being an absolute rollercoaster of a fight
Well, I really hope SE doesn't listen to you because this is by far one of the best parts in the expansion.
I liked it for what it was supposed to be. I do think they should've given Ran'jit less health though. It felt like it dragged on a little too long.
