The best way to cure social anxiety is to rub a little dirt in it.
Honestly, it's like "Depression" that people claim to have. If you were clinically diagnosed by a MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL then yes, you have social anxiety. If not, then you're overreacting and need to grow up, best advice that I can give. Mental illnesses are as severe as physical ones, the brain is, of course, just as important as the heart, lungs, muscles, etc... but SO many people talk about how "depression isn't funny!11!" but they don't actually have depression, they just are feeling blue or sad for the moment. Feeling bad for a while is not the same as having an ongoing, longterm medical condition, and attention seekers in general need to STOP saying that they have X/Y/Z thing if they haven't been properly diagnosed because all it does is downplay the condition for people who REALLY have some kind of disorder.
There's a difference between being weak, and needing to grow up, and having a legitimate medical condition that needs therapy, medication, or some kind of procedure medically to cure and treat it.
