I'd rather see this as an emote feature only. Really don't care to see 99% of the population with /sneer or /grin like Stepford house wives. Other mmo's have sliders to set the expression yourself, which would be a lot more versatile.

I agree with Cyrstal_Raven "No thanks, I don't want to see 1000 catgirls with the Ouch face. Aka eyes closed mouth open. Just no."
How about "Permanent expressions" in your FC & Personal House .. for RP?
I don't get the fear that 99% of the population will pull stupid faces. Roe's can walk around in leapordskin speedos, players can glamour all their gear off and you can wear bunny outfits, chocobo and pig suits, but the actual percentage of the population doing this long term is maybe 1%.
For most of us silly things are a novelty that we play around with for 10 minutes then switch to something else. Being a catgirl with an "ouch" face would probably be looked down on.
Also to be fair, MMORPG's are role play for a lot of players, if your character is smug, cheerful, grim or so on by nature, I can't see the harm in that being part of your image. I notice a lot of the comments are people dictating what they want or don't want others to look like, rather than personal preference.
I don't even have my camera zoomed in enough to see other characters' expressions most of the time.
Precisely this! That's the same debacle of people not wanting the game to have more shared glamours between male and female characters (like Thavnair dress useable for men or the marriage tux for girls). It really puzzles me how people are bothered by others having the option to portray themselves more freely.
Sure, I support it. Although if this feature is added, I think it would be limited to only a few facial expressions.
