I've been very curious myself as to how the post-expansion relic nerfs that normally happen would work with Eureka.
I suspect they'll nerf HP, increase crystal drops and make NM spawns rates much easier. They'll nerf light in Pagos and Pyros you can be sure to make the light based crystals easier to earn. Whether of not they'll unsync any of it I don't know kind of doubt it but we'll find out soon enough.
So I have to present any evidence but you don't? Nice! Anyway, why you assumed I talked only about NM's difficulty? Low levels fates are nothing special when you can cheese those with un-sync to health up. But for the ones that really speed up gathering crystals, or to even summon a final boss? I guess with certain logos, a class and a lot of patience can be done. Sure, NM's adapt to the number of players but the place is designed for groups, alone is way less efficient and you are blocked out certain NM's.
Still, the main hurdle (at least for any map but Pyros) is to summon the NM's.
I would really hope something happens. As I don't feel it's fine when it becomes less popular/solo. Once Eureka loses the good farm on tomestones and gear that is relevant it's going to take a pretty hard participation hit.
I'm not particular on what but /something/. Can't imagine trying to level from 0 solo the entire time, what a painful slow nightmare lol (imo, though it's not bad in a group with the CLOG/FATE trains but that'll increasingly harder to pull off as it becomes less visited).
Wonder if perhaps SE is going to fold the content into new content in 5.0 (perhaps Eureka 2.0), so it wont really become a graveyard.
Maybe Blue Mage will come in with his pre-elemental aspected spells and level 5 death Ozma into the face lol.
They're not the same and you know it, and snipping at Ultimate at someone who actually has cleared one of the Ultimates isn't a particularly good idea.
The thing about BA in itself is that it's gated behind a massive grind. My suggestions are more from the standpoint of ensuring that there is at least a population of people around to help new people get through the rest of Eureka so that there's always enough people to actually run BA in the first place.
Sure, you can solo grind, as people in this thread suggest. Would you WANT to? Solo grind from 1-60? I'm pretty sure we all know what the answer is. Preferably, BA should be the only place to earn fragments. But it's such a small part of BA that releasing the fragments into the rest of Eureka isn't going to compromise the difficulty in any meaningful way (unless you somehow consider gearing to be a meaningful part of difficulty), and it has the benefit of helping to ensure the rest of Eureka doesn't straight up die.
The developers already allocated an incredible amount of resources into Eureka as a whole, cutting who knows how much other content in the meantime. What would be the point of all this effort if Eureka just immediately dies after ShB is out? We all already know what happened to Diadem, which somehow managed to die within its own expansion.
You do frag runs and prog runs to learn the content and upgrade the gear so that when bosses there do raid wides you don't lose 70 percent of your health because you don't have upgraded gear. Believe me I heal that content and can easily tell who has upgraded gear and who doesn't. Sorry I don't see the point of giving that away outside of the Arsenal because earning the fragments and upgrading the gear is part of learning the dungeon. Once new people reach 60 joining a discord will become the only way to continue with the Arsenal (as it is now even with current content) and I already for see them running content there on a reduced schedule but somewhat regular basis.
One would still need to grind 1 to 60 to even be able to enter BA so having the fragments does nothing unless someone wants to upgrade their relic to Physeos and relic armor without doing BA to begin with. Earning relics there should be motivation enough without trying to nerf the Arsenal. It's not needed in my opinion to keep people there doing the content.
Yes they did and for many of us who did it and enjoy it we appreciate the effort put into this relic chase making it more than running old content for tomestones ad nauseum. When ShB hits that content will become a ghost town until people have progressed far enough into the new content to want to go back and relive some of the older content Eureka included. It will be interesting to see what relic nerfs they implement to try and make it relevant for new people.
Why not skip the entire grind all together and let us buy the relics directly
My guess is that SE will do what a lot of us have already done - mentally reclassify them as "Eureka Weapons" and pretend there's not a Stormblood Relic at all, and therefore there need be no nerfs.
Issn't Eureka gonna just be dead?
You can't really solo it from start to finish, and once the new expac happens, no one is gonna be doing it.
