Question About Housing

Anyhow, it’s a «*wait and see*» situation. :)

So will the 5.1 patch after Shadowbringers be around October? Did they confirm if we get any housing zones

No confirmation yet. Still Ishgard rumor-ish? In 5.1 the Ishgard reconstruction will commence (according to this), but we don't know if housing is directly tied to it.

Ok, thank you so much! I didn't watch the live letter properly so I didn't know. Fingers crossed for ishgard housing and more availability!

I might be remembering the live letter wrong, but all that i recall being said was that they would look into housing after the expack launched. So 5.1 is the earliest i would expect anything.

Yah after the last bit of info, Ishgard housing seems to be dead, and anything to do with instance housing. They said they would look into adding new wards after the chaos from release died down.

I don't think it means that Ishgard is dead. From what hints they had dropped our way during the FanFests, it was sounding like Ishgard wasn't going to happen until the tail end of Shadowbringers (reconstruction had to happen first and that was going to be spread out over several patches, etc.).

As for instanced housing, outside of years old statements that they weren't in favor of a fully instanced housing system I don't think they've ever talked about it. They mentioned last year that they were discussing the possibility of adding in some size options to apartments but that's it as far as I know for recent discussion. Talk of instanced housing has been more speculation and hope on the part of players than any statements shared by SE.

I think all that happened during the live letter was an acknowledgment that the housing situation needs some help sooner not later, though they have to wait until the expansion is released to work on it. They also never specifically said wards (unless that didn't get translated) though unless they have something else in development it seems like adding more wards is probably the quickest thing they could implement to help out the situation.

They did specify they were looking into adding *wards* with regard to housing. And mentioned nothing about Ishgard, as far as I know Ishgard housing is only a rumor based on an off hand comment from Yoshi. I actually hope I'm wrong cuz I *really* want Ishgard housing.

All I know is Yoshi P plans on addressing housing issues once more after the launch of Shadowbringers. No mention of Ishgard Housing.
