Can we like, get events in the houseing areas

you guys should go play BFA and see what its like where everyone has everything with in 1 week of making a new char =p

A little OT, i think housing will be more social if it can be made available for all who are already qualified to purchase a house, but as it is right now housing is kind of a limited commodity so its not catering to all players atm.

ARR came out in aug of 2013, Personal Housing was introduced in patch 2.38 so has been out for about 5 years. The game is slow :| its prolly its only downfall for me, I like the fights, music, crafting everything about the game. But it is slow.

I made a post 2 years ago about dirty laundry socks ect, its in game now oh em geeee. But it took a while for it to get in game, if you don't make suggestions it will take all the longer for them to get around too it :| there is nothing wrong with feedback and suggestions =p

if you stay silent they will think nothing about it :p Nothing is being asked of them to do this next week, but a year from now if you see something like this in game. It really does make you go :D

One of the Starlight events required you to visit houses and click the Sartlight Sentinel trees if they had put one up. I liked it because it was a way to get people into the wards and enjoying other's homes. However, it was equally depressing because people would only go to the very first ward and visit the absolute closest homes. People in further wards or subdivisions got skipped over even if they put a lot of effort into decorating for visitors. If they do something like this again it would be nice if they used modern features like estate teleportation and the RP flagging system to randomly place a visitor in participating homes so that everyone gets a chance to be greeted.

yes, the issue would be 18 instances of houses + subs. But very smart people work for the companies :p im sure they can find a solution :D

Get a real reason. This is a MMO people have things others do not, there are many things I want that I just have not put effort into. Am I mad about it? No. I wanted a house more so I put more time in getting a house.

an optional housing event where you get a some exp and tiny amount of gil is no diff. If anything it will bring you to the housing place more so you can see more plots open up, you would be surprised how many days I see plots opening and people complain how there are no plots :| people server move all the time.

All of those things do not involve RNG to be involved in. No comparison.

eye of the beholder, buying a house is RnG too, plots open or its not, click faster than the other guy or its not. My neighbor servermoved ect ect ect

You know the difference between rolling a new class and having a house?

I don't need to camp out a class for what could be up to 24 hours to get the opportunity to be able to play that class, and I don't have to compete with what could be multiple people during those 24 hours as well, including botters.

Your comment is hyperbole.
It's more realistic that someone could be level 50/have a class than someone would have a housing plot, unless you're willing to transfer, but that's a lot to ask for some people. Not everyone is privileged enough to toss extra money around and spend time making new friends, all for the sake of maybe getting a small plot.

So much this... Thank you! I've server hopped a lot also, and have always managed to get a house with some dedicated hunting. Yeah, the spamming sucks, but you do what you gotta do...
