Shinryu could be green, true. I was more thinking of that kind of oily rainbow look that he's got as an effect already in certain phases of the right, which would be different from anything we have so far. We've already got a greenish glow on the crafted sophic weapons.

You would think but that wasn't the case with 2.0 glowing primal weapons. And when you look at the Stormblood wolves their glow is too similar or too simple for it to work on the weapons.
It's hard to work around this, you have to make a new type of glow and particles (leafs, water, electricity, fire, etc).
