Crash after ARR credits cutscene

here with another update... soo i went to youtube to see what should happen after the credits, that stuff with the ascians n what not, thats missing. what i did find out though is that the music that plays to the black screen is "Answers" the song from the ARR opening movie, its just the song though, no sound effects... maybe this will help Answer our questions...

i don't think so... windows may have done an automatic update but i don't remember if it was before or after this started... and when i try in dx9 its not really a crash, it just goes black and plays the realm reborn opening movie music then the character select music.

Could you try doing a clean reinstall of the graphics drivers? Also just to double check, please make sure they are updated. Could you also provide another system report with the updated drivers?

The System Report still says you have the older drivers installed. Did you download the newer drivers from here: https://www.nvidia.com/Download/index.aspx?lang=en-us

There are a few other things you can try to alleviate the issue:

1) Disable any other programs running in the background. This includes any overlays (Geforce Experience, Discord overlay, etc).

2) Set compatibility mode to Windows 7. Right-click on the ffxivboot.exe file and select ‘Properties.’ Then select the ‘Compatibility’ tab and choose Windows 7.

3) Make sure that any anti-virus software you have has the appropriate exceptions for Final Fantasy XIV.

thanx for the reply but the issue was fixed with a reinstall... i did download the newest driver from the nvidia site before so not sure why it still says its outta date tho... thanx for trying to help, glad to be back in game :)
