I'd like to see them trait it into a new spell that is a big heal for pets only.
Super situational, but solo'ing with Titan tank is already situational and there have been many times when I wished for an "oh crap" button when I got add aggro and Sustain wasn't quite enough to keep Titan alive.
I'm not a summoner but I don't see why Physic's power can't be determined by intellect like RDMs Vercure.
No thanks I already have five million buttons to press and a non responsive pet to deal with....now you want us to potentially try to fit a role that belongs to redmage. Honestly physical can be removed for us.
It can't without affecting SCH. This is the downside of shared base classes and why something like the ARC -> SCH/SMN split will never happen again. At most they can trait or change Physick to another kind of ability to better fit SMN's kit, but they can't remove it without screwing SCH.
It's more to do with how jobs are intended to be played with trinity. The devs don't want SMN (another DPS) to have a fully functional heal in end game content, that's why we have RDM (not that RDM is taken for healing, but it's something that makes them unique). Also how long would it be before BLMs start complaining that they have no healing whilst the other two casters do, not to mention rez capabilities as well.
If you never use it, don't put it on your hotbar. Then it doesn't take up space.
While I wouldn't be overly upset if they removed it, it does have some very nice uses in old content, and nothing is gained from outright removing it.
If they change it, though, they're more likely to make it a 71+ skill, which defeats the whole purpose because it effectively removes it anyways. SQEX has a bad track record for "fixing" broken things about jobs by adding new high-level skills, which then leaves the job just as broken (or even more) when synced.
