'Hammer Job' is going to be the thin ray of hope we desperately cling to until it's literally a week before the expansion and it sinks in that we're not getting a new Healer class.

You know, Green Mage from FFTA was exclusive to Viera and used a hammer. While it did focus on Buffing and Debuffing enemies it's not a far jump to assume they could add heals.

Yes please - I would love for Green Mage to make an appearance considering we have white mage, blue mage, red mage, and black mage. Let's add those green guys/gals into the mix too =)

Nah it won't be useless. It would be argued that Paladins in WoW - one of the healers in that game - can use 1 handed mace which is similar to a hammer. You could also counter argue with Retribution Pally but in the case of Holydin I want to say it's possible to have a hammer healer. *Prepares for death for mentioning WoW*

We got until June if they don't want to reveal what Manfilia's job is or why put Gaia's hammer out there this weekend.

The thing is that a hammer healer will almost certainly be melee, or else that hammer is useless. Not sure about a melee healer but at this point I'm open to literally anything that can heal.

That hammer was a mistake from Nomura, he said so in his message, not a new job or anything.

From a pure PR standpoint it does not make sense for them to announce a huge reveal like an additional new job in a live letter as opposed to a keynote address.

As badly as I was looking forward to possibly maining a new healer job, I do not see it coming anymore.

I've lost all trust in Yoshida in all honesty. He yanked us along with the whole 'maybe in the next fan fest' only to reveal a gender lock. However I'm certainly not apposed to geomancer after reading up on their description in the 2nd encyclopedia.
