There's nothing you can do about that part. She took the portal and died and deleveled. Her action led to that, not theirs. They have no obligation to sacrifice one of their party members for her. You have a right to take a portal. But you don't have a right to be carried by anyone or be helped in there.

As for the harassment, you have total right to report that. But idk why I feel something is really off (and saying she quit the game not because of harassment, but due to not being raised and deleveling, doesn't add up and sounds suspicious, since leveling back doesn't even take more than 5min). I've done lots of runs with the discord group and never has anyone said anything in game to insult the sniper. Sure, some just used the slap emote or something, but never insulted the sniper. That itself is also against the rules of the discord group on Aether.

You should not expect other healers to Sacrifice L for every person that dies in BA, especially if it is before Absolute Virtue. That is up to the healer's discretion since they can end up dying if Spirit of Remember does not proc. Being a healer requires expensive logograms if they bring a lot of Sacrifice L and Bravery L. If a healer does Sacrifice for you, be appreciative of their generosity.

If you are new to BA, try to ask for a Discord invite so you can be matched with players at similar levels of progression. The inclusive groups will help you out.

This is why I—and I do encourage others to do so—turn off chat. The game becomes immensely more enjoyable when you don't read the toxicity that players utter.

I am guessing you do not realize what it takes to raise someone in BA. There are a total of 3 things that can bring someone back in there. Spirit of the Remembered with a 70% chance which the player has to have activated before they die. Sacrifice L which is a healer only logogram which kills the healer to raise someone which means the healer has to have spirit of the remembered active to have a 70% chance of getting back up after raising. The final way is healer LB3 and if it is not used before the boss dies it is too late since the lb drops back to lb2 max at that point. So I do not blame the group at all for not risking losing a healer for a person that forced their way in and caused someone who had been in the group to be left outside. A lot of times the group has to make hard choices about the members of the group as to who to raise and who not to due to the limited number of sacrifices and the risk of losing a healer to it. So if verbal abuse happened then yes you can report the players involved but yes they have every right to decide who they choose to risk their lives to bring back.

The game warns every player multiple times that seeking to go into BA can be extremely dangerous and punishing. If you die, there's a high chance of losing experience. It is also very difficult to raise someone there.

Furthermore, whenever I've seen people organise a group for BA they've politely asked in /shout for other players to be mindful that they intend to enter as an organised group.

Raising in BA requires using Sacrifice L on the other person -- which will, in turn, kill the healer who used it. If their Spirit of the Remembered doesn't proc, then *they* are likely going to delevel and time out unless other people in the group want to chain Sacrifice to get them up, which is a waste of Spirit of the Remembered actions, especially if its before Absolute Virtue.

Healers are totally at their own discretion when using Sacrifice, they weren't being rude or hateful to your friend on that count.

Also - given that a lot of people take portals for BA specifically to spite premade groups trying to go in, its sadly kind of understandable that they might have initially been upset your friend took a Portal - especially since most premade groups announce their intentions to run as a premade and will mention if they have spots open or not. Most of the time, most groups will ease up on people who just didn't know any better, and the BA Discord group has tried very hard to make sure that the Discord people aren't promoting toxicity within the community.

Yes, BA is a public instance, but there's nothing wrong with people trying to organize runs and being upset when those organized plans get messed up by people trying to "prove a point" about public instances.

If they were subject to actions against the ToS, they can feel free to report them. But as others have said, raising is a pretty serious ordeal in the dungeon, and depending on where or why she died, they're not wrong to want to hold off their limited raises for later on.

On the plus side, deleveling in Hydatos is really not much of a penalty. Just point out to her how to make Reflect L and she can hit 60 again in a few minutes at the sprite island.

We never raise the snipers who die onAv (eg, every snipers so far) because we don't want to risk them missplacing a meteor on Ozma or blowing up a group with a acceleration bomb, plus there is no way we d carry someone who feel entitled to take a portal from someone who was scheduled in that run. You sure can take the portal but we are under no obligations helping you complete BA.

Why do I feel like there's another side to this story?
