Sorry to revive this thread, but for Australian FFXIV fans EB Games has just announced that the physical Shadowbringers Collector's Edition will be available for preorder on their online store in very limited quantities from Thursday (alas when it becomes available for preorder I'll be stuck at work, so I might have to get my sister who is a manager at a EB store to try and snag one for me. :)). It should go without saying the standard version of SBS is also available right now for preorder on their online store.
So, for other countries, don't give up hope just yet! (I admit I pretty much had until today).

I'm personally would be really happy at least to have shipping to my country from SE Store. I don't even have the possibility to buy anything from official store without asking my EU friends about "can I please buy it for your address and you will send it for me?". Hello from Russian Federation. :/

Even in the country where the sutff is shipped from the shipping cost are stupid.
I really had to think about it twice before buying just 2 books from it.

Add in the fact that the Steam versions were INSANELY limited and sold out in just a few minutes on the US store.
I would love for them to meet a supply and demand for physical stores between Gamestop in the US and European/Australian stores to better help people.
With Sony now not selling digital game codes it seems like we are slowly annexing more and more ways to preorder games in store. My hope is that we get the next expac after 5.0 to actually be available in a store to preorder before everything physical goes entirely to the SE store.
