Thank you for the reply.
Just as Nedkel asked, is the GPU overlocked at all and do you have a way of monitoring it? Nedkel thank you for the input.
NosamKin, thank you for the input as well. Changing the resolution may alleviate some of the issues as well?
Does this crash happen on DirectX 9 or only on 11?
Hope to see you online!
You've run for four hours - no problem - or many crashes in 30 minutes - whats different?
Two more thoughts.
Direct X also does stuff with audio and other media on the PC. Could this be related to your sound or music processes? Are all those drivers current?
Finally, it could be unrelated to direct X. I had an issue where my PC was "randomly" rebooting. Turns out it wasn't random - it happened a few minutes every time I plugged my phone into my PC. Of course I plugged it in every time I sat down to play and was blaming all kinds of things for a while..
Good luck.
I'm doing about the same thing in the past days (bit busier so i only do the tribes and a bit of chocobo racing). Even while doing those actions, sometimes the game crash after 4 hours of continuity and sometime it crashes more than once in a very short time lapse.
EDIT : I've just checked all the audio/media drivers and everything seem to be up to date ^^;
I've yet to check the sound drivers, i'll be looking at it tonight.
My phone is charged with a wall-plug, so i doubt highly that it would be a problem source
I guess i'm doomed :(
Thank you for the update Itsuki_F. I apologize for the delay in my response.
You mentioned you have your drivers up to date. Did you do a clean install of them? This is an option you have when you install/update them.
Do you have any other programs or overlays (Geforce Experience, Discord overlay, etc.) open? Try disabling anything you don't need to pay the game.
You can also try a clean boot. Simply open the task manager and select the 'Start up' tab. Disable everything here and restart the PC. This will make sure that no background processes are interfering with the game.
You may want to try stetting the compatibility mode to Windows 7. Right-click on the ffxivboot.exe file and select ‘Properties.’ Then select the ‘Compatibility’ tab and choose Windows 7.
We hope we can be of assistance in helping you enjoy the exciting world of Final Fantasy XIV!
does dxdiag.exe report no problems?
have you tried 1920x1080?
