I don't get why chocobo leveling has to be so much slower. Even after leveling several jobs and having it gain most its levels via stables it took 2 years with the inclusion of the BLU experience point bonus to get my bird to level 20. Why nerf the experience gain back to useless again? It's a boring grind that takes way too long.
I tested the experience difference at level 70 using the cave in the north area of the lochs. Before as a level 70 killing mobs in there, i would get somewhere around 984 experience, 1100~ish with curiel root while it was my chocobo's favorite food. This was before BLU mage came out. After SE nerfed experience rates back down, my chocobo gets a little over 2600 exp per kill and a little over 3000 with curiel root. So it's a about 3 times as much exp at before BLU at least. That's a pretty huge difference in the long run.
