Good thing I have next monday off. I'm going to deck out my FC house with this stuff. So many doughnut boxes... we're gonna need some coffee.
Ugh..Healer’s Robe and some beret-type Hat...
Guess its better than nothing.
It's basically Theaterythym so if you've played that before or rythym type games in general it should be easy... but for those who haven't, it's frustating as anything. I don't know, maybe it's just lag but I keep missing every single prompt and failing (and I'm rapidly hitting the keyboard, I don't have a controller).
Guess I'll keep at it, but my enthusiasm for this year's event has diminished...
I consistently fail it with a mouse. I can score 8 or 9 with keyboard until my FPS sinks (which is happening as people go in and out of the amphitheater) then I'm lucky to avoid complete failure.
It's a bad concept for what should be a fun, casual holiday event. I've got one friend who keeps failing the mini-game so she can't even complete the quest chain for the glamour and it's got her incredibly disappointed at time when she should be filled with cheer.
If the response is going to be "tough for her, she can pay real money next year to buy it", that is not acceptable.
Those might be having trouble with the timing n stuff I would say do the NPC that offers a reward of 2 certificates the prompts disappear slower than the other guy so that might help with the time in such. Also from what I've seen scoring a perfect 9 doesn't change the reward it still the same thing 2 for the slow prompts and (I assume) 3 for the faster ones.
I do worse at that one than I do with the other one when FPS issues set in. With the other one everything is coming up in rapid strings so I can just spam my keyboard and at least get "good" and usually fumble my way into "critical". With the slower one, I end up hitting the keyboard too soon or too late.
I also hope that color blind mode is working for those with orange/blue colorblindness. It would have been smarter to use different symbol shapes instead of making everything the same diamond shape.
I have yet to see anyone going "this is fun". The most they do is acknowledge whether or not they were able to complete it.
Funnily enough, it was with the mouse I was finally able to pass it, just... (with a score of 8 misses, one more missed and I would have failed again). But yeah lag is definetly a problem with this.
And I agree the minigame should be optional, not a compulsory requirement to progress in it. Ah well, the event is fun, once you can get around the issues with the minigame.
