2.0 also has a hapless pirate strung up over the side of the Astalica in Limsa Lominsa (the comments made by the pirates on the ship jeering him is that it's his punishment for cheating them of the takings of a successful voyage, a serious breech of the Pirates' Code).

Probably some kind of social media challenge for NPCs.

It's one of a number of running jokes. In Revenant's Toll, NPCs always used to watch on the east side, and a new NPC was added every patch, while a Lalafel looked on confused as to why there needed to be so many people keeping watch over the side that didn't face the Garlean stronghold.

In Idyllshire, there was a Lalafel in a Goblin mask with 2 other goblins recruiting intelligent people (in goblin speak, something about big brain cases) to some engineering cause. That Lalafel and goblins are still there, but they now say they're no longer recruiting.

Any time there's an updating zone.... there's gonna be a few running jokes with it, and there will always be something dangling from a ledge in panic. Also, there's still someone in the Brume who has been dangling since day 1.

OP, why did you shift from your own topic? Don't you want to hang people?

I'd rather see npc hanged than buried

Isn't it like a running joke along with Roes carrying boxes and crates everywhere?
