Bard: All over the battlefield?

The other thing I was thinking of reading this is Brd can Resonance it's songs to have them reach a very long range.

I was thinking this also. With bard able to cross-class 5 abilities from con and thm, and if arc mp pool is anything to go by, they could make effective secondary healers in a pinch.

What about multiple bards, one on mage group one on melee group?

It would be more feasible ifmultiple bards rotated. We all know about the one song limit but 2Brd's in a pt can keep 2 songs active.

e.g

DD's/Tank - Acc + str

Mages - acc. + ballad

I've been in a 3 brd pt and mobs go down a helluva lot faster when all 3 songs are in rotation. I chose bard because of the versatility that all of the other advanced jobs had. All others were pretty much one-dimensional. Bard in FFXIV has the potential to be much more. (Puller, DD, Support, Kite Tank) It could be apart of SE's plan to help break cookie cutter molds, but only time and 2.0 will tell.
