Was gonna retort but just read something about talking to guildmaster.

Even without the Road to 60 EXP boost, it's quite useful to level two classes at once throughout the story. (Ideally staying a level or two above MSQ so you don't get caught out by the quest level changing. For ARR in particular, you'll want to know that the MSQ level jumps from Lv46 to 49 close to the end, with some optional quest chains bridging that gap if anyone wasn't leveled for it.)
My leveling was rather disorganised through ARR and Heavensward, and I was trying to balance putting EXP into a lot of classes, but by the time I got to Stormblood, I was set on getting summoner and white mage to Lv70 as close to finishing the game as possible.
Working through MSQ and doing sidequests as I went, plus doing daily roulettes, that amount of EXP was pretty close what I needed to get the two classes leveled. I was doing quests in the final zone as a Lv69 summoner, and maybe Lv68 white mage (I remember having to grind a little to get up to Lv69 so I could collect quest EXP after summoner hit Lv70).
More recently I was doing the same thing with my alt character in ARR. Using a DPS class to pick up all the quest EXP and running roulettes as tank to keep that on equal level.
Also worth knowing if you're raising a crafter or gatherer: you can complete ARR story quests with those classes, as long as you're at the right level. (Obviously you can't do battle instances with them, but the game only looks at your current class when awarding you the end-of-quest EXP.) They "fixed" this in Heavensward, though.
So your options at the moment are:
1. Level a second class from Lv1 - after getting past the initial barrier of reaching Lv10 for guildhests and Lv16 for leveling roulette, run those each day and catch up to story level - or just run the highest level dungeon available if you want to get there quicker. It shouldn't take long at all with the multiple EXP buffs (Road to 60 + armoury bonus + rested bonus + Brand-New Ring*). Also make use of the various challenge log EXP bonuses for completing X number of dungeons, guildhests, FATEs, etc.
* if you haven't completed the Hall of the Novice, do that ASAP. The final exercise rewards you with a ring that gives a +30% EXP buff to classes under level 30.
2. Pick up Red Mage or Samurai - as long as you have the Stormblood expansion purchased, you can unlock these classes as soon as you reach Lv50. Both quests start in Ul'dah - SAM in the main street near the aetheryte plaza; RDM in the Sapphire Avenue marketplace. Both classes start at Lv50, so you'll still be way overleveled, but at least you'll have two classes to spread the EXP around.
3. Plan to pick up a class in Heavensward - Dark Knight (tank), Astrologian (healer) and Machinist (ranged DPS) all start at Lv30, but you can't access them until you reach Ishgard at the start of Heavensward MSQ. At this point the story quests are at Lv50, so again you'll need to grind them up to story level before you can actually use them.
4. Raise a crafter or gatherer, and use them for quest hand-ins - if you're ever going to level these classes, Road to 60 is an excellent boost for cutting down on how much tedious work it's going to take you to get there.
Generally speaking, out of the three roles of battle classes (and if you intend to raise all of them), it's best to use a DPS class for playing through the story and picking up all that extra EXP from quests. There are more of them and the dungeon queues are slower, plus they rarely get the 'adventurer in need' EXP bonuses that tanks and healers do.
Just to clarify, you don't need to talk to the guildmaster every time. Rhus is talking about picking up a new class.
I haven't had Road to 60 status on an active character long enough to actually get a character above 60, but I've seen other people getting or losing the buff as they change classes.
I just verified you won't lose it as long as you created that character in the last 90 days and you are on a low population server that grants the buff provided that serve keeps the buff status.Quote:

I lost mine because my created character was over 90 days created..
I highly recommend catching up the MSQ on another job, especially if you like or plan on leveling one or more DPS jobs. While a lot of content can be ran over and over for exp, the MSQ is a one shot deal for any particular character and all the jobs it levels. While you can't really waste exp, you can definitely allocate it in a way that isn't in your best interest.
