The trains I want are the crowded mob lines that used to follow you all the way to the zoning line, and then would not move from there, ready to kill unsuspecting people zoning in the opposite direction. Remember?? (It was deemed good manners to shout "Train!! Train at <pos>")

i like trains, and would want them in XIV

At first I didn´t like the idea much, but now that I think of it, it could be pretty cool if they do the train like the one from Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: Crystal´s Bearers, where you could walk in the differents rooms of the train before you reach your destiny, and try to seach for objects or interact with the differents objects.

If train is added, please don´t make it istant travel as the flying ships, let us use the seats, give us the oportunity to explore the train a little and even add events or quest relationated with the train would be cool, like protecting the path of the train, fighting raiders who try to steal the passangers and even some kind of race or persecution on chocobo !

Yeah FF8 had trains.

In the sci-fi novel series 'The Amtrak Wars', there were land trains. Perhaps something more suited to the game landscape and imperial machinery.
