Delaene, thank you for the information,
On your system report, I noticed you had two monitors listed. Could you try turning one off and running the game on just one screen? Also please try the following:
- Right click the launcher and select "Properties"
- Select "Compatible" and then check "Disable full screen"
Please keep up updated in regard to the situation. I hope the above suggestions help.
Hope to see you online!

I just tried both the options you suggested, with even trying leaving "alone" both monitors, one at a time. Unfortunately it still didn't start.

Delaene thank you again for keeping us updated.
Have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling Direct X? If not, please do so and let us know.
Hope to see you online!

I can confirm it's among the first thing i've tried, along with updating video drivers (AMD had released a new driver version on the 19th on november, i got notifiied of another update a pair of days ago but it didn't help too).

Good afternoon Delaene and thank you for the update!
I apologize for the delay in my response. Have you tried rolling back the drivers update or changing the compatibility mode? If not, please try the following:
- Right click on the FFXIV launcher icon and select "Properties"
- Go to the "Compatibility" tab, and change the compatibility mode to "Windows 7"
Also just to double check, does the game crash happen on DirectX 9?
Please keep us updated! Hope to see you online !
