I think the trust system is a 100% good stuff.
New players who go through old content as a DPS have miserable time finding groups, and I'm sure there will be many DPS players in Shadowbringers who'd be spending more time queuing than playing if it wasn't for the trust system.
I don't see what the problem with some solo content in an MMO is, I usually don't see people complaining about multiplayer components in single player games.

Well in FFXI Trust system they have dead people and evil people in there too like all of the Ark Angels
