Lets talk about Pyros Quest placement (spoilers?)

Why would you undertake a quest like that by yourself? The idea that it's in a difficult place isn't bad but it does take a bit to understand going alone isn't the best way to go about it. The 35 Pagos quest is quite similar when doing it for your mount as well.

Just wait until that glider walks the other way, then get it. Dont cast Return while you stand there. I did both parts of 50 quest solo (I actually died several times coming to raise *other* people that died doing it solo though, so take that with a grain of salt).

As a solo player, what really bothers me is logogram acquisition. I would like to farm solo for them, but instead I'm forced to do bunnies, forced to be in a party, forced to farm mutated mobs in the boring, pull-everything style on singhas/etc. I liked Pagos because I could solo it entirely and always make some progress at my own pace. None of that would be an issue if you didn't need *every logogram* for armor, or if there are Level 50 sprites that drop a variety of logograms. I don't mind doing any of this, but I'd like the choice. Sometimes I want to go sit in the corner of a map for 2 hours killing something, and walk away with something to show for it.

I think Pagos' level 35 wall is far worse. Morbols + Griffins. Even with a group that sucked.

AND those griffins had true sight, so no just sneaking in as a ninja

I did this quest and the 2nd part by myself w/o any issue. As above poster said, when I got there the moth was staring right at the quest objective, so I waited just inside the entryway to the fire arena area until the moth moved. As it moved I had ample time to get to the the objective, interact with it, then get back to safety in the entryway all before the moth moved again.

The real fun was the 2nd part, because I had used Return to after Part 1 it was still on cooldown after I got the 2nd objective... so I had to walk back out so that I could get to an NM that had spawned in the instance I was in.

Yeah, you NEVER want to try the first part of the 50 quest alone, it's death. For all those who have not done it yet; the easiest way to do this is just be patient and wait for a Penny prepping party and join it. That's what I did, joined a prep party, was escorted by a level 50 tank who pulled everything in front of me allowing me to easily get there. Ressed him and grabbed the quest marker while I was there. Also killed Penny and got lots of crystals, logos and the flames I needed.

The 2nd part is not hard, I did it solo. The monster amounts are low and it is easy to avoid them. But don't do this at night in case you get hit and aggro the ashkin, who will be around then making things harder. If you want to be sure though, do it while the fate is going on there so you will have people close by to res if needed.

As for soloing logos, you can easily do the bunny fates solo instead of having to join a group all the time since so many are around for them. I do it all the time and get silver or gold rankings depending on when I get there and many bunnies. I was soloing it before 50 and got the full exp amount for it too.

Sprites, thanks to logos, can be done solo too without much effort, though it is MUCH more efficient in a party for this.

The special lockboxes? Nope, can't do it solo, WAAAY too dangerous because of the mutations and you need to get the chain up fast to really start getting many of them. Groups only.

NM's? Well if you want gold level crystals and light amount, probably grouping is better. Solo, you might get as high as silver unless you can put a lot of damage out. Plus, you gotta hope someone will res you if you die since you don't have a party.
