From what I've read, EU has been getting hit the hardest followed by JP. NA has only had a small number of interruptions by comparison. I play more hours than most do but there was only one day last week when I had connection issues for about 30 minutes then a single isolated incident since then.
I'm definitely not going to complain. I just wish that those responsible for the attacks would grow up and find something better to do with their lives than disrupting things for others.
Ya, some will say they got hit, others will say they didn't. It's really weird.
Though ya, EU is suffering the worst. Imagine NA's issue, but constant. I got that flicker earlier today on NA and I already don't wanna craft because I suspect a crash. I can only imagine EU who outright knows it's coming.
pretty much just adding my voice to this, didn't even get to cap tomes this week
The game hasn't crashed a single time for me lately - and I do play on the Chaos datacentre. Nor have I seen any unusual lag, or suffered any disconnects.
While I have no doubt there are people having problems, it can't be a server problem or we would all have these problems.
The main problems are most likely in the networks between you and the datacentre - and that is not something SE has any control over.

It's not affecting everyone, but it's still affecting people. DDoS attacks are hard to counter, no doubt.
That's true and all but this stuff has happened before in other games and usually as a sign of good will a good company will provide gametime to compensate the people suffering from it. I don't know, I just never have the feeling that SE isn't actually trying to improve the situation much. I know a lot of people that have been affected since 4.1 and it's getting pretty frustrating at this point. I came to the EU servers to escape the lag from NA ever since SE made this super smart decision of moving that Data Center all the way to the west instead of going for a more centralized location. And now the lag/disconnects follow me over to EU. Even people that aren't affected should understand how frustrating this is.
