Its not really dead, but population has dropped some. it will pick up though, because unless you do savage and ex stuff, all the new content was done in a day.
In a way, content like Diadem/Eureka shouldn't even be made. Creating this kind of "ghetto" is just asking for situation like described in this topic, and the small things that Eureka brings, like the variety of enemy behaviours, should simply be in regular content, and in the "open world" in particular.
(well, open world is euthanised by flying mount anyway, but that's another topic...)
Or you can just wait a few weeks for new patch fever to run its course.
The question is who even made it to Pyros? I heard that in Pyros there's going to be an armor upgrade but I just don't have the time to relevel in Eureka to get to that point even though I love AF armors. The notorious monsters from Eureka would have worked better as open world fates in the new zones. For me its not so much about new patch fever as it is the fact that there's so many other things I'd rather do in the game than grind through Eureka. Running dungeons/raids/Heaven on High are way better options for getting gear.
Pyros is scheduled to arrive in 4 weeks, at that time, the nerfs will hit Pagos. But the only way to get me into Pagos to catch up is to nerf it from orbit... with a red moon and maybe have a large dragon lay waste to it. Then I can sift through the rubble, get what I need and try out Pyros. If they don't nerf it hardcore henry style, then I'll never see Pyros.
Can imagine the patch notes already:
'Eureka Pagos has been removed from the game and monsters and Notorious Monsters between level 20-35 have been added to Eureka Pyros. Please enjoy'
let it stay dead
