something a bit sad about the loot of the 4.4 dungeon

Nothing new here. Any game of note will do the same thing, including the game-that-shall-not-be-named, much WoW. Only difference is said game has been around so long that there's just more wardrobe options by default, yet even then the amount of recycled gear will make you cringe. Go to any PvP vendor and you'll see one season almost immediately followed by another that simply provides last season's gear with a new colour. Same for dungeon difficulties and older gear being remade as common drops in later expansions.

I'm fine with it in general, provided it is done in moderation. The saving grace is that you can at least colour (most) things over here.

Doma Castle Gear is, iirc, the same model as the first Heavensward Tome Gear, Yasha/Doman.

I just went by the PLD stuff and DRK weapon because I have no need to memorize the model of gear from a million years ago, but this does nothing to refute what I said. Models are being reused as they have been for a long time, it doesn't matter where the model is from.
