You only needed to have played Pagos before and after the update for that to be obvious. ~1 NM per lockout before became ~3. It's still slow and bad.
I mean, they said they reduced the amt of mobs needed, not the spawn timers. It sounds like that's what they're saying here, but it doesn't contradict because the two are different? Unless I'm missing something. However, that "please learn to chain" comment is trash, and I'm highly tempted to unsubscribe and suggest all my friends who dislike Pagos do the same.
The bot wrong they upped xp and reduced kills needed. Nothing about spawn times. I do like how he kinda sticks up for those of us who did leve by grinding before the patch though. Probably going to ruffle a few feathers though because well it's 2018 andcomments like that offend a small majority. There is definelty a increase in nms though even with just the kills needed dropped. I'd be lucky to see 1 or 2 fates whereas now I see 3 or 4 (but not Cassie, someone clearly forgot to adjust Cassie)
It's not as efficient as in anemos and nowhere near enough to make a train, I tried it getting from 34-35 and spent nearly 90minutes on 2 fates (brothers and asag) took them about 40 mins each to spawn. I drifted between helping and afk but when afk I just kept thinking I'd be better chaining during the down time...so much space between nms it's wasted potential xp/light
So did they lie in the patch notes or was it a mistranslation error? If the former that is pretty shady and will cause people to lose all trust in them going forward. If the latter I hope they improve in the future.
Mis-translation does not essentially mean intentionally lying. Japanese and English are very different lies and the translators are something saying things so literally the technical or gameplay aspects are not obviously understood. I mean for a game that has the vast majority of developers in Japan and an international marketing team behind it, you are better looking at the Japanese playerbase reaction rather than solely the words of a developer.
I still think Pagos needs changes, but a torch and pitchfork approach won't help the matter. I also believe that there is considerably less effort into this instance compared to the 4.4 Eureka one due to the ilvl increase in a few weeks.
It definitely wouldn't match up with the rather stark contrast between before and after that I've witnessed, but it really wouldn't surprise me at all if simply saying something had happened in patch notes was often enough to get players to feel better about it and cheer the developer, so long as it's not easily falsifiable. Perception is reality.
My main concern is that there's legitimate health concerns related to chaining. Carpal tunnel syndrome is a thing and the window for accomplishing a 30 enemy chain is very tight. There's also the added frustration that if a NM spawns the chain can be abruptly broken because some members in the party decide that they want to go to it.
patches notes say exp increased and number of mobs needed to trigger spawn reduced. The spawn times themselves were not changed.
