What determines where Duty Roulette puts you?

Exactly what I mean.

It's called a ROULETTE. The duties eligible for the ROULETTE include all the duties required to unlock said ROULETTE. First it matches you with 3 other players and removes, from the list of eligible duties, those which are higher level than the lowest level person. Then it randomly assigns a dungeon from the list. If you're all 70, then you have equal chance to be put into any leveling dungeon:

16-49 (~60% chance)
Sastasha
The Tam-Tara Deepcroft
Copperbell Mines
Halatali
The Thousand Maws of Toto-Rak
Haukke Manor
Brayflox's Longstop
The Sunken Temple of Qarn
Cutter's Cry
The Stone Vigil
Dzemael Darkhold
The Aurum Vale
Ifrit (normal)
Titan (normal)
Garuda (normal)

51-60 (~20% chance)
The Dusk Vigil
Sohm Al
The Aery
The Vault
The Great Gubal Library


61-70 (~20% chance)
The Sirensong Sea
Shisui of the Violet Tides
Bardam's Mettle
Doma Castle
Castrum Abania

There's 24 leveling roulette duties, so ~4% chance for any.

Sorry, but it doesn't matter. It's a roulette whose aims are two.

Fill up lacking queues...hence why it includes every dungeon (and story trials, at least the first three) in the game, and provide a way to speed up queue in general. Though it's useful only for one run a day.

If you want a streamlined experience...don't go with leveling roulette. I'm sorry, but it's not designed at all for someone to level only with it. If you use it for something it was not designed for, then the problems that arise from that are on you. If you want to level and be "up to date" with your class, pick specific dungeons. Story dungeons are often quite fast for queue because there are people that actually do them specifically for story.

If not, then at least do the 50/60 and/or trials roulette here or there to keep up to SOME higher point at least.

psh...I prefer getting Sastasha for leveling. Lowest dungeon means highest completion bonus for a quick and stressless dungeon, my usual luck is getting Aurum Vale :\ . What sucks is getting a trial fight when trying to complete daily roulette challenge.

Again, you seem to ignore most of my statement. So I won't continue aside from saying, it does matter. We aren't filling a lacking queue when we go in as a group. I'm sorry saying dont do a leveling roulette isn't an answer to anything. It IS designed for someone to level hence why it has received boosts to the total bonus xp over the years. We are using it exactly as intended. At least as far as queueing and seeing what we get to "level" in since my friend is leveling her tank. Also, story dungeons by far queue the slowest. I've queued solo and partial party for these in the past (with either a tank or healer) and always end up waiting longer for whatever reason the system decides to do. again my comment wasnt addressed to JUST XP points like yours seems to be. It's to overall gameplay experience as well. Esp when people work/school for a living and don't have the time to run every single roulette every single day....It could use a tweak to the system when taking into account full parties, not filler. Thank you.

It should pick the highest available duty for everyone involved. So like I said originally, for the party I was in, it would be Qarn. The only reason to get Sastasha is if someone only has that unlocked. Which is rarely the case.

You seem to not understand what a roulette is. It matches you first and then randomizes a duty. Why should it place a preference on which duty? Moreover, there is likely a limited number of instances of each dungeon so if everyone is going it at 70, they can't have 115 parties all in the level 70 dungeons. They need to spread people out. We know there are more people at max level than there are at lower levels.

Back when the Roulette was first introduced, instances of the early dungeons were WAY overbalanced. This was due to the fact that if you partied with someone low, you'd always get those dungeons, and if you partied with someone higher level you still MIGHT get those dungeons. SE did SOMETHING, because the times I found myself in Sastasha or whatever scaled back tremendously.

My assumption is that they weighted the roulette to favor higher-level dungeons (that are possible for everyone in the group), but did not eliminate any dungeons. So, while you're more likely to get a higher-level dungeon with a party of higher-level players, there's still the chance of getting a lower-level dungeon regardless of party makeup.
